How do I make a career choice?

An online career choice test will assist you to make a career choice. Career choice tests are designed to identify the careers that match your interests and values.

They provide you with an in-depth assessment of your work related interests, identifying the careers that you are most likely to enjoy.

Apart from taking an online career choice test, it is important to consider a number of other factors in making a career choice. In particular, you should consider the following:

  1. What are your natural skills and abilities?
  2. Do you prefer working with people or things?
  3. Are you willing to study?
  4. Do you want to work from home?
  5. Do you want to start your own business?

Ask yourself this question:

If you knew you couldn’t fail, what would you do?

If you are unsure, ask yourself ‘what do you enjoy doing the most?’

Often people have a dream career that they would love to pursue, but something holds them back from taking the first step. There are many reasons for this.

One reason is that they may be concerned that they won’t be able to get a job in the industry. Alternatively they might be worried that they won’t be able to make enough money to support their family.

Other reasons include:

  1. Fear of failure
  2. Fear of success
  3. Fear of change
  4. Fear of the unknown
  5. Lack of self confidence

No matter what the reason, remember that Passion + Persistence = Success.
